Reading: Non- Fiction Illustrations/Pictures
-Students will complete a quick summary of their 20 minuted nightly reading.  They will turn in the summary each morning.  It will be returned to them each afternoon.

 


Vocabulary:     
Unit 3 - Week 1:
ripe, embrace, irate, legible, seek
Unit 3 - Week 2: occupation, frenzy, sturdy, saturate, anonymous 
Unit 3 - Week 3: transparent, ripple, pleaded, beckon, device
 


Word Study: Unit 14.2 (plurals -f/fe to -ves and -y to -ies)
-10 words to study (either regular or challenge)
-3 No Excuse Words for writing. These words don't follow patterns, but are common in writing. Students will need to write these words in a sentence. 
-Students will also be given 10 additional words that follow the spelling pattern for the week.
-Test Friday




Math: Unit 5: Area





Writing: Writing Opinion/Persuasive
-We will continue writing our opinion speeches

-For grammar (Mentor Sentence) we are focusing on compound sentences and using that/who in sentences.
-Students will have a Mentor Sentence quiz Friday.   


Social Studies: Complete North America Review (final test)
- Students will bring home a study guide Monday .
- They will have a quiz Friday.

February 14th - Valentines swap (class list in blue folder)
February 20th - No School
February 21st - Conferences
