Reading Skills: Drawing Conclusions, Context Clues, Non-Fiction Headings
Phonics: VC-e pattern
Spelling: Words:spoke, mile, save, excuse, cone invite, cube, price, erase, ripe, broke, flame, life, rule, these, those. Challenge: surprise and decide.
The challenge words will not be counted wrong if missed, but bonus points will be given for words spelled correctly. TEST FRIDAY
Language: 4 Types of Sentences: Declarative:Statement, Imperative:Command, Exclamatory:Exclamation, Interrogative:Question TEST FRIDAY
Math: Place Value, Counting Money, Topic 1 Review, TEST FRIDAY
Science: Animal Life Cycles
Homework:
Reading: Complete the Reading Response sheet. Students should read The Trial of Cardigan Jones from their reading textbook and respond to the prompt. Students should also complete the bottom portion using their AR book. They can pick one of the two questions for responding to their AR book, depending on the type of book. The completed sheet is DUE THURSDAY. They can spread out the work over a course of three nights. :)
Math: Textbook pg. 26/27 (problems 1-12). Students will bring home their textbooks Thursday night to complete this assignment. We do these pages at the end of each unit, the night before the topic test, which is Friday. The assignment is DUE FRIDAY.
