Week at Glance:

Reading Story: A Fine, Fine School

Reading Skills: Listening to you Inner Conversation, Context Clues, Summarizing

Phonics: Short Vowels, VCCV patterns

Spelling: Words are: crop, plan, smell, thing, shut, sticky, spent, lunch, pumpkin, clock, gift, class, skip, swing.  Review words are: next and hug. Challenge words are: hospital and fantastic.

The challenge words will not be counted wrong if missed, but bonus points will be given for words spelled correctly. The review words are from previous years or previous lists and will be counted wrong if missed.

Language: Subjects and Predicates of a simple sentence

Math: Place Value: Hundreds, Thousands, Comparing Numbers, Ordering Numbers

Science: Plant Structures and Life Cycles

Homework: Study for spelling test and language test.  Students will also have comprehension questions from our reading story, A Fine, Fine School.
