Reading Story: The Gardener (Test Friday)

Language:  Action and Linking Verbs (Test Friday)   Action verbs are words that show action. (ex.  run, catch, grow)  Linking verbs do not show action.  They link a subject to a word or words in the predicate. (ex.  am, is, are)

Math: Topic 5: Multiplication  (Test Monday) PLEASE START HAVING MULTIPLICATION DRILLS NIGHTLY.  Your child should know 0s, 1s, 2s, 5s, 9s, and 10s..We will begin Topic 6 on Wednesday.  We will be learning how to multiply with 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 as factors.  There are many different strategies that can be used in order to figure out the product of a multiplication problem, however, the fastest way is to memorize them. :)

Science: Types of Environments, Adaptations, and Populations

Social Studies:  Monday we will have our own third grade presidential election. 

Homework:
Monday: Read The Gardener and complete reading log - Due Thursday. Study multiplication facts.
Tuesday: Read The Gardener and complete reading log - Due Thursday. Study multiplication facts.
Wednesday: Read The Gardener and complete reading log - Due Thursday. Study multiplication facts.
Thursday: Read AR for 20 minutes complete reading log. Study for tests. Study multiplication facts.
