Reading Skill: Drawing Conclusions

Reading Story: William's House (Test Friday)


Language:  Plural Possessive Nouns (Test Friday) These words are plural nouns that show possession or ownership.  Regular plural nouns are made possessive by adding the (') after the s.  Example: The boys' desks.  Irregular plural nouns are made plural by adding ('s).  Example: The children's clubhouse. 

Spelling: (Test Friday
Our spelling words will be sh, th, ph, ch, and tch words.  The spelling words are: father, chapter, other, alphabet, watch, English, weather, catch, fashion, shrink, pitcher, flash, athlete, trophy, nephew.  The challenge words are:  northern, establish, emphasis, hyphen, challenge.

Math: Topic 5: Multiplication  PLEASE START HAVING MULTIPLICATION DRILLS NIGHTLY.  Your child should know 0s, 1s, 2s, 5s, 9s, and 10s by the end of the week.

Science: Plants and Animals. (Test Friday)  The test will cover Chapters 1 and 2, which includes: living/nonliving, life cycles, plant structures, and heredity. Students will bring home a test review. 

Homework:
Monday
: Read AR for 20 minutes complete reading log. Study multiplication facts.
Tuesday: Read William's House aloud and complete reading log. Study multiplication facts.
Wednesday: Study multiplication facts.
Thursday: Read AR for 20 minutes complete reading log. Study for tests. Study multiplication facts.
