Reading:  Bats Love the Night (Narrative Non-Fiction)
Comprehension skill:  Sequencing
Phonics:  Long and Short Vowels 
Vocabulary Strategy:  Suffixes (-er,-or,-able,-ible)

Language: Action and Being/Linking Verbs
An action verb shows action (run, eat, skip, laugh).  Being verbs show what someone/something is or was (is, was, were, am, have, had). Test Friday

Spelling: math, June*, toastelbow, easyprogram, socksshiny, Friday*piles, stuffsticky, paideach, cheeseboth
Challenge words: comb, holiday 
 Test Friday

Math: Topic 3 - Subtraction with regrouping (or borrowing).  This can be tricky, so students may bring home work to get checked or for more practice. 

Science: Chapter 3: Populations, Fossils Chapter 3 Test Friday Study guide packet will come home covering environments, animal survival, and populations on Wednesday.

Homework: 
Monday: Read Bats Love the Night aloud to an adult.  Complete Reader's Response on story.  Make sure you use evidence from the text to support your answer. (Due Friday).

Tuesday: Read AR. Work on Study Island. 

Wednesday: Read AR. Work on Study Island. Science Study Guide will come home. 

Thursday: Study for tests. Read AR and complete Reader's Response sheet (Due Friday). 

Weekend: Read AR. Work on Study Island.
