Language: Adverbs (Test Friday) An adverb is a word that tells how, when, or where something happens.  A lot of adverbs end in the suffix "ly". Example: Recently, we studied about different cultures. Recently is the adverb, it tells when the action took place. The kids worked carefully. Carefully is the adverb. It tells how the action happened.  We went outside. Outside is the adverb. It tells where the action took place.

Spelling:  (Test Friday) Spelling words this week are: small, almost, always, because, straw, drawn, also, author, false, already, flaw, sausage, applause, walnut, lawn. Challenge words are: awesome, altogether, awning, faucet, and laundry.
