Reading Skill: Drawing Conclusions

Reading Story: Jalapeno Bagels  (Test Friday)

Language: Adverbs that Compare  (Test Friday)  An adverb describes a verb.  Adverbs tell how, when, or where the action happens. 
Adverbs that compare use -er or -est. Example:  The baker's cake rises high.  The baker's cake rises higher than hers.  The baker's cake rises highest of all the cakes.

Spelling: (Test Friday)  
The spelling words this week are words with the vowel sound you hear in the word ball.  You can use the letters -augh, -al, and -ou to make this sound.  The spelling words are: 
thought, fought, bought, taught, caught, walk, cough,  talk, daughter, ought, sought, brought, trough, chalk, stalk. Challenge words are:  sidewalk, distraught, afterthought, overwrought, beanstalk

Math: Topic 14: Customary Measurement (Test Friday)

Science: Matter, Mixtures, Heat

Homework:
Monday: Read AR for 20 minutes and complete reading log
Tuesday: Read Jalapeno Bagels and complete reading log - Due Thursday.
Thursday: Read AR for 20 minutes and complete reading log. Study for tests.
