ELA: Reading Habits, Choosing Books, and Building Stamina.
Students should be reading a just-right book at home each night for reading homework.
MATH: Addition/Subtraction Review.
Math Homework starts tonight. It is 4 problems for each of Mon-Thurs. nights. They are numbered as Day 1,2,3, and 4. This allows you to be flexible if a night or two is booked with activities. On the back is an assessment. You're encouraged to work with your child on the Day 5 assessment, however it's not necessary to complete for homework and return. They will receive a new copy of Day 5 as an assessment to complete on their own. If your child needs some "pre-teaching" then this is a great opportunity for you to provide additional support. Also check your child's questions nightly and help them with any misunderstandings they may have.
