LANGUAGE: Parts of Speech review
VOCABULARY: fragile, defend, research, pledge, specific (This weeks list and next week's list will come home in take-home folders. We will have a quiz every two weeks over 10 words). More info coming at back to school night.
SPELLING: The list for the entire year has been added to student take-home folders. The first five words will be tested Friday (done, English, road, half, ten). Words will need to be spelled correctly WITHIN a sentence. The sentence will need a capital letter beginning and ending punctuation to receive full credit. More info coming at back to school night.
WRITING: Narratives- Finding ideas and building stamina
Homework:
-Read nightly (write the title of the book on the calendar in take home folders) More info coming at back to school night.
-Study for spelling test
