Pronouns take the place of a noun (he, she, it, they, us, them, we, you, him). Antecedents are the nouns in a sentence that are replaced by a pronoun later in the sentence. (Jimmy lost his shoe, and he was sad. (Jimmy = antecedent / he = pronoun).
