Reading Skill: Main Idea

Reading Story: Penguin Chick (Test Thursday)


Language: Common and Proper Nouns (Test Thursday) A common noun is any person, place, or thing (ex. school).  A proper noun is a specific person, place, or thing (ex. Madison Creek).  Common nouns are capitalized. 


Spelling: (Test Friday)  The spelling words are: finish, pilot, even, wagon, music, silent, rapid, female, lemon, pupil, focus, robot, tulip, camel, salad.  The challenge words are:  resident, spinach, climate, tradition, innocent. 

Math: (Test Tuesday) Topic 2: Addition.  We will start Topic 3: Subtraction on Wednesday.

Social Studies: Economics (Test Wednesday)  A study guide will come home Monday. The Small Business Expo is Friday!!! If you didn't see the video in the previous post...check it out!  Send in items for the business expo (poster, money box, and also your goods to sell-if possible) on Thursday.

NOTE CHANGES - Homework--Monday: Read Penguin Chick and answer reading log question. We MAY have math homework as a review.  It will be noted in students' agendas if assigned. 

--Tuesday: NO READING HOMEWORK (unless you want to!)   STUDY for Economics Test. 

--Wednesday: Study for Language and Reading Test. 

--Thursday: Read AR book and answer reading log question. Study spelling words.
